Synopsis

STRIKE TWO! The killer Roy Spivey, who has shrunken the head of his decapitated victim, Mona Lamont, is still at large and Batman is unable to find the evidence to arrest him, much to the frustration of Mona's boyfriend George Michaels. To make matters worse, Catwoman has abandoned Batman's side in order to train her new panther and Jason Todd has been neglecting his duties as Robin for the sake of his new girlfriend, Rena.  Taking a chance, Batman breaks into Spivey's apartment and finds some special chemical residue which he takes for further analysis at the Batcave. While Batman does this, Mona's shrunken head is taken to the GCPD Headquarters after it was delivered to Jim Zwaitek, a close friend of Mona. When Batman is summoned to the GCPD, he finds a correlation between the shrunken head and the chemical, which was used to reduce the size of the skull.   Overcoming his pride, Batman calls Catwoman and asks her for help in capturing the killer and she agrees, knowing that such coldness between them is unbearable. When Spivey tries to murder Nancy Campbell, he is stopped by Catwoman's new panther, who scratches his face and makes him return to his apartment, where Batman has planted the shrunken head in his medicine cabinet along with bugs in various other places. Spivey loses it when he sees Mona's head, smashing the mirror and inadvertently confessing his crime on tape, and also finds that Batman and Catwoman are waiting for him. Spivey is promptly defeated, but the love between Batman and Catwoman, despite being present, is not resumed and they go their separate ways.   The next day at Mona's funeral, Batman watches silently from the shadows and he is approached by Catwoman, who gives him a farewell kiss and leaves the city for good. Saddened, Batman returns to the Batcave where he gets small comfort from knowing that Jason has returned and will resume his Robin activities. As the Dynamic Duo is finally back together, Batman prepares to instruct Jason on a lesson about his greatest foes.
